Applications for the MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD programs are completed via the UCLA Application for Graduate Admission. For Fall 2026 matriculation, the application deadline is January 6, 2026.

If you are applying for the Architectural Studies B.A. (Fall 2026 admission cycle), the regular University of California application is due on November 30, and the supplement is due on January 20. For more information, please see the UCLA Arts Undergraduate Admission FAQ.

Fall 2025 Open House for Graduate Programs: Tuesday, October 28

UCLA AUD looks forward to meeting prospective students at our Fall 2025 Open House for Graduate Programs, scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 5:00 to 6:30 pm Pacific Time. Please register directly via Zoom. You can also email RSVP@aud.ucla.edu with your name and program(s) of interest.

This virtual session will cover the admissions and application process, and introduce UCLA AUD's innovative, leading-edge graduate programs.

Fall 2025 Open Studio Day: Monday, November 3

We welcome prospective students to Perloff Hall for our annual Open Studio Day on Monday, November 3, starting at 1:00 pm in Perloff Gallery. AUD's Vice Chair Kutan Ayata will offer a brief program presentation, followed by student tours of Perloff Hall's studio and fabrication spaces, and a chance for visitors to check out some of our midreview sessions. Fall 2025 MArch Information Session: Tuesday, November 18

Please join us on Tuesday, November 18, 5:00 to 6:30 pm Pacific Time for a 90-minute online info session about UCLA AUD's Master of Architecture (MArch) program. This session includes a program overview from Vice Chair Kutan Ayata, followed by a conversation with AUD's Student Affairs Officers, covering all matters related to admissions, financial aid, and student affairs at AUD. Please register in advance via Zoom.

Fall 2025 Portfolio Workshop: Wednesday, November 19

UCLA AUD's Fall 2025 Portfolio Workshop offers an insightful, candid look at some of the priorities, processes, and inspirations behind the design portfolio. Join AUD lecturer Claus Benjamin Freyinger on Wednesday, November 19, 6:00 to 8:00 pm Pacific Time for this interactive workshop. We hope this event complements our Open House and other events by taking a behind-the-scenes look at a vital piece of the admissions process. Please join us on Zoom for this Portfolio Workshop.

About the application process: general information and checklists

Applications for the MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD programs are completed via the UCLA Application for Graduate Admission. For Fall 2026 matriculation, the application deadline is January 6, 2026.

MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD candidates are notified of admissions and financial decisions in March.

Admitted MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD candidates who wish to accept the offer of Fall 2026 matriculation must submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by April 15, 2026.

If you are applying for the undergraduate major in Architectural Studies, you first need to fill out the general University of California application (due November 30, 2025), and then submit a supplement via SlideRoom (due January 20, 2026). Undergraduate admission notifications are released in mid- to late April.
