Applications for the MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD programs are completed via the UCLA Application for Graduate Admission. For Fall 2026 matriculation, the application deadline was January 6, 2026.
MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD candidates are notified of admissions and financial decisions in March.
Admitted MArch, MSAUD, and MA/PhD candidates who wish to accept the offer of Fall 2026 matriculation must submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by April 15, 2026.
If you are applying for the Architectural Studies B.A. (Fall 2026 admission cycle), the regular University of California application was due on November 30, 2025, and the supplement is due on January 20, 2026. For more information, please see the UCLA Arts Undergraduate Admission FAQ.

Spring 2026 Open Houses for Graduate Programs: April 9 in Los Angeles, April 10 online
UCLA Architecture and Urban Design is pleased to hold two Spring 2026 Open House events: in person at UCLA AUD's Perloff Hall on Thursday, April 9, and a virtual program on Friday, April 10. Each program will include a variety of presentations and activites.

If you are applying for the undergraduate major in Architectural Studies, you first need to fill out the general University of California application (due November 30, 2025), and then submit a supplement via SlideRoom (due January 20, 2026). Undergraduate admission notifications are released in mid- to late April.

MArch Professional Degree
A three-year, NAAB-accredited program that prepares students for professional practice and other career paths.

MS in Architecture and Urban Design (MSAUD)
A one-year post-professional degree that combines theory and practical applications in collaboration with industry partners.

Undergraduate Studies
A two-year major that begins in the junior year of residence. This program is not NAAB-accredited but provides a strong foundation for students who pursue graduate studies in architecture and other related fields.

MA & PhD in Architecture
Academic graduate degrees include the Master of Arts in Architecture (MA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
