Benjamin Ennemoser
Lecturer
Benjamin Ennemoser is an architect and researcher based in Los Angeles, California. He studied architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and the University of Innsbruck where he graduated with distinction. He has received several research fellowships, such as the Tische-Stipendium, the prestigious Dr. Otto Seibert-Stipendien-Schenkung, and the Start-Grant. He has been a lecturer at UCLA AUD’s IDEAS campus since 2016, and he has also taught at the University of Innsbruck, the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, the University of Fine Arts in Vienna and Yun-Tech University in Taiwan.
As an architect and researcher, Ennemoser’s work is situated within the field of advanced technology as design speculation. His focus is on computational design, digital fabrication, applied robotics, soft-robotics, VR & AR, new media, machine learning, interactive architectural systems and digital experience design. He has published and presented his research on machine learning in architecture in international journals and academic institutions. In addition, he has worked for a number of architecture practices, such as Gensler, GraftLab, New-Territories and LAAC Architects. He is a licensed architect in the European Union where he founded his own practice, Benjamin Ennemoser Design, in 2016.
