Khorshid Naderi-Azad

Lecturer

Khorshid Naderi-Azad, RA, NCARB, is an architect and academic whose work explores spectacle, contemporary culture, and anexact forms. Before joining the faculty at UCLA Architecture and Urban Design, she was an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Architecture program at the University of British Columbia. Her design practice is informed by international experience at leading offices in Los Angeles, New York, Rotterdam, Boston, and Vancouver.

Khorshid is the co-founder and CEO of WallyWool, a reimagined legacy furniture manufacturer that uses the principles of Total Design to unite architecture and interior design under a single cohesive vision. Originating from the historic Canadian department store Woodward’s, WallyWool provides services ranging from architectural design to custom furnishings, including the fabrication of drapery and upholstery. Its fifteen-person team operates out of a 10,000-square-foot factory and showroom in Vancouver, BC, redesigned and rebuilt to frame the process of manufacturing as live spectacle.

Khorshid holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University, both awarded with Distinction.
