Greg Lynn's gita Robot Wins Red Dot Award in "Innovative Products" Category

Apr 13, 2020

Congratulations to faculty member Greg Lynn and his team at Piaggio Fast Forward, whose transport robot "gita" was recently recognized with a Red Dot Best of the Best Award in the metacategory "Innovative Products."

The gita following robot carries up to 40 pounds in its cargo bin and enables its owner to walk easier, further, and longer, promoting an active lifestyle. The robot can avoid all obstacles using a 360-degree camera and sensors that scan the surroundings. The carrier’s large wheels also ensure that it can move quickly.

Gita and the other award winning products will be presented as part of Red Dot's online exhibition that will be launching on June 22, 2020.
